The Humble Petition of the Undersigned on behalf of Miss Gladys Evans and Mrs. Mary Leigh.
Unsigned petition raised on behalf of the suffragette prisoners Gladys Evans and Mrs Mary Leigh. The petition refers to the imprisonment of the two suffragettes for attempting to set fire to the Theatre Royal, Dublin, August 1912. The petition urges that the force feeding of these prisoners cease, that they be treated as political offenders and that their sentences be reduced. Below, and on the following page, is space for signatures of those who support the petition.
