Ticket, tram ticket
Shilling all-day London tram ticket, 1931. The ticket covered all areas of greater London, the extent of its 'availability' is printed on the reverse.
By the 1920s London had the largest tram system in the world. Many routes served London’s working class suburban areas. Special all day fares encouraged suburban residents to travel to the West End for leisure and business.
