Printed Ephemera — 1997-1999
Postcard
Postcard printed in colour illustrated with a cartoon by Gaz Cooley of a newly wed Asian couple in traditional dress who both privately have sexual feelings for someone of the same sex. The postcard was published around 1999 by the Naz Project, a charity which provides sexual health and HIV prevention services to people in London from South Asian, Middle Eastern, North African, Horn of African and Latin American communities. The charity offers information on sexual matters to people from cultures where it is not a subject that is openly discussed.
