Postcard
Colour photographic postcard with the image of a young man swathed in a rainbow flag wearing army combat trousers and another in a navy uniform, published by Stonewall. it carries the slogan 'Stop Discrimination'. The reverese is printed with a pro-forma letter to Michael Portillo, Secretary of State for Defence, calling for the right of lesbians and gays to serve in the armed forces. Stonewall is a civil rights group founded in 1989 campaigning for legal equality and social justice for lesbians, gay men and bisexuals. In 1992, the organisation launched a campaign to help people in the armed forces who suffered discrimination and dismissal when their homosexuality was discovered.
