Walter and Emily Day
This portrait of Walter and Emily Day was taken soon after their marriage in Islington in April 1906. Walter Day worked as a cellar man at the Whitbread Brewery in Chiswell Street. He and Emily lived in Islington until the late 1930s when Walter retired from the brewery and they moved out of London. The Days had four children - Walter, Ena, Edith and Sydney.
