Invoice
R Jay, a watchmaker and jeweller, issued this invoice on 11 April 1906. The invoice records the sale of a 22-carat gold wedding ring.
Walter Day (1877-1961) and Emily Amelia Hobden (1882-1960) were married in Islington on 14 April 1906. The couple lived in Islington until the late 1930s when Walter retired from his job as a brewery cellar man and the family moved out of London. The Days had four children - Walter, Ena, Edith and Sydney.
