Printed Ephemera — 1912
The growing movement
This pro-female suffrage propaganda poster was printed at the Suffrage Atelier in Shepherd's Bush, west London. It was probably designed by the artist E T Dana. The limerick on this poster was adapted from Edward Lear. It refers to the growth of the Votes for Women campaign in comparison with the underdeveloped anti-suffrage campaign here represented as an 'undersized bush'.
