The Apple
Play titled, 'The Apple' by Inez Bensusan, published by the Actresses' Franchise League, 1911. Set in a suburban villa amongst a family of struggliing 'gentle folk', the play exposes the unequal treatment of girls within families. The front cover is colour, decorated with the AFL shield and bears the slogan Votes for Women.
Part of the collection of objects relating to the Suffragette Movement, given by the Suffragette Fellowship, 1950.
