Print, anamorphosis print
Hand coloured anamorphosis print engraved with a stretched caricature portrait of a male figure dressed in a red robe and wearing a hat. In one hand he carries a trumpet, in the other a book. To be viewed through a specially adapted peep hole or on to a mirrored tube in order to see a non-distorted image. Subject unknown. Printed below the image 'G Bickham according to act of parliamt 1756'. On the reverse is a 'The Property of the London Museum Kensington Palace' stamp.
