Printed Ephemera — 1912
Manuscript
This illustrated manuscript includes a brief history of St Luke's Parochial School from its foundation in 1698 to the year 1912. It is possible that the manuscript was produced in 1912 to raise funds for the school that was run as a charitable trust.
The manuscript notes that by 1912 the school, then located in Old Street, provided a free education to 800 pupils, 250 of whom were also clothed by the charity. The manuscript also includes a photograph of the facade of the school and images representing boy and girl pupils from 1698 and 1912 as well as the names of the school trustees who gifted the document to the London Museum in 1912.
