A Suffragette is Evicted from a Meeting for Heckling, 1908
Image depicting a Suffragette being evicted from a meeting for heckling Government Ministers, 1908. The evicted Suffragette is identified on the reverse of the photo as 'Mrs Fayle' but this may be incorrect and it may in fact be Miss Douglas Smith.
Also handwritten on the reverse of the photograph is 'Alexandra Palace / 'Chucked out' of cabinet Ministry meeting / Dec 1908'. But this is unlikely. It is more likely that this refers to a meeting between Lloyd George and the Women's Freedom League at the Albert Hall on 5 December 1908. There is no mention of Alexandra Palace meeting in Votes fo Women Dec. 1908.
