Suffragettes preparing for a public meeting held to celebrate the release of Emmeline and Christabel Pankhurst from Holloway Prison, 22nd December 1908. The Suffragettes are identified on the reverse of the photograph as Charlotte Marsh, Dorothy Radcliffe and Elsa Gye. The Suffragette leaders were greeted at the gates of Holloway on their release from prison by a delegation of Suffragettes and transported in a horse drawn carriage procession from north London to a breakfast reception at the Court Hotel followed by a public meeting at Queen's Hall in Langham Place.
