Silver, coin, sceat
Silver coin known as a sceat (series X, Type 31, insular variety). Obv: 'Wodan' head facing, with busy hair and moustaches. Small cross left and right. Outer border of pellets. Rev: Monster left, with head turned back to bite off its own trident-tipped tail. Outer border of pellets. This is an imitation of a coin from Ribe in Jutland.
