Selling 'The Suffragette' Newspaper at the Henley Regatta
Suffragettes selling The Suffragette newspaper at the Henley Regatta, July 1913. By this date it was becoming increasingly dangerous to admit to being a suffragette and many were attacked by members of the public, outraged by the increasing militancy of the campaign. These two women were not harmed at the Regatta but would not dare to open sell The Suffragette newspaper the following year at the same event.
