A Happy Christmas to You
Christmas postcard printed with a verse and seasonal greetings from Minnie Turner. The postcard was sent by Minnie to Miss Petchey, Christmas 1913.
The Suffragette Minnie Turner was a member of the Tax Resistance League. She ran her home at Sea View, Victoria Road, Brighton as a boarding house specifically aimed at Suffragettes. Advertising in suffrage newspapers such as Votes for Women she urged ‘Suffragettes spend your holidays in Brighton, central. Terms moderate.’
