Mrs Pethick Lawrence
Emmeline Pethick-Lawrence, along with her husband Fred was co-editor of Votes for Women, and business manager & Treasurer of the WSPU. As well as being a remarkable fund-raiser for the WSPU she was arrested four times for her militancy. Her last conviction in 1912 was for conspiracy to incite violence. In 1912 Emmeline and Christabel Pankhurst expelled Emmeline and Fred Pethick-Lawrence from the WSPU although they continued to produce Votes for Women from the Clement's Inn premises.
