Printed Ephemera — 1912
Wishing you a happy christmas and a bright new year
A Christmas greeting cut out and glued to a postcard. It reads 'Wishing you a Happy Christmas and a Bright New Year. From Emily Wilding Davison with love. Xmas 1912.' Emily Wilding Davison was a member of militant suffragette organisation the Women's Social and Political Union. During the 1913 Derby she ran out onto the racetrack in an attempt to stop the King's horse. Davison received serious head injuries and died 4 days later.
