Mrs Pethick-Lawrence's Secretary Office, WSPU Headquarters Clement's Inn. Emmeline Pethick-Lawrence was co-editor of Votes for Women and business manager & Treasurer of the WSPU. Her office employed both volunteer and paid staff who used the most up-to-date equipment including typewriters, telephones and calculators.
