Sun-ray lamp goggles
Folding sunray lamp goggles with green plastic lenses pinned together with elastic cord. Worn to protect the eyes when using a sunray lamp. During the 1930s exposure to artificial sunlight was believed to be beneficial to those with poor health and growing children. The donor of the lamp recalls being tempted with sweets by her mother to sit in front of the lamp, wearing the protective goggles, for many hours as a child.
