Gladys Roberts
Postcard with photographic portrait signed 'Gladys Roberts'. Gladys Roberts (born c. 1888) was born in Bradford and joined the Women's Social and Political Union in 1907. She became an organiser in 1908 and worked mostly in Nottingham.
Postcards like these with portraits of suffragettes were produced as part of the female suffrage campaign and sold in WSPU shops to raise money for the cause.
