Printed Ephemera — 1747-1748
John Briscoe
Copper-engraved trade card publicising the business of the jeweller and goldsmith John Briscoe, located at the Three Kings and Golden Ball, near St Pauls in Cheapside. The trade card includes an engraving of the tradesman's sign of Three Kings within a decorative, scrolled cartouche headed by a 'golden' ball. Below are printed details of the goods and services provided by the jeweller including engraving. On the reverse is a handwritten invoice for goods, jewellery repairs and services supplied to the Hucks household between 1747 and 1748.
