Invoice
Handwritten invoice issued by the linen draper James Bird located at 53 Aldermanbury. Dated 27th March 1784 the invoice written in English round hand script refers to the supply of linen to the drapery firm of John Thomas and Company based in Hinckley, Leicestershire. Similarly to other county drapers this firm ordered cloth from London wholesalers, who liaised directly with the cotton and woollen manufacturers on their behalf. James Bird has added a handwritten note to the bottom of the invoice with information about the order and payment.
