Industry in the Exhibitions
Pamphlet entitled 'Industry in the Exhibitions', published by the Council of Industrial Design (CoID) and the Scottish Committee of the Council for the Festival of Britain, 1951. The pamphlet sets out the importance of industry to the South Bank Exhibition. The promotion of good industrial design was a key aim of the exhibition. CoID was set up by the government after the war to influence public taste in favour of modern design. They played a key role in selecting exhibits for the South Bank Exhibition.
