The Women's Freedom League University Women prepare to take part in the Great Suffrage Procession, 18th June 1910. This Procession, organised by the Women's Social and Political Union involved 12,000 women from a range of Suffrage societies marching together in support of the Conciliation Bill being debated in parliament.
The image depicts graduate members of the WFL who marched in their own section headed by Edith How Martyn. The graduates carry pennants representing the universities at which they studied.
