Brick Lane Festival
Poster promoting the Brick Lane Festival held on 6 September 1998. The Festival is a multi-cultural street event with live music, fashion, food, arts and crafts. It was first held in 1996 to aid regeneration of the area. This poster refers to Spitalfields were the Festival is held as 'Banglatown, London, E1', reflecting the influence of the Bangladeshi community on local culture. Brick Lane is particularly well known for its Anglo-Asian cuisine.
