Drinking glass, wine glass
Wine glass made in Flint (colourless) glass. Drawn trumpet wine glass with a tear in the stem, on a plain conical foot with a polished pontil mark underneath. Round old works label inscribed, 'POWELL WHITEFRIARS GLASS WORKS' between two concentric lines. Pattern no. O 2274, probably designed by Harry Powell, design inspired by mid-18th century English wine glasses. Illustrated in W. Evans, C. Ross and A. Werner, Whitefriars Glass.
