St. George's, Hanover Square
The interior of St George's, Hanover Square, designed by John James and built in 1721-24. This was one of 12 churches built as the result of the 1711 Act of Parliament which ordered the construction of new churches to serve London's increasing population.
Christina Broom was a professional photographer who produced a series of London street views for sale as postcards. She later photographed the activities of the suffrage movement in London and is considered one of the earliest female press photographers.
