Earl's Court Road, S.W.
Earl's Court Road in West London. The Mountfield Hotel is on the left corner, with the London and South Eastern Bank next door and the London and Country Bank next to that. On the right is a large notice explaining that the terrace behind, which is covered in scaffolding, has been sold for conversion into 'high class shop premises'.
Christina Broom was a professional photographer who produced a series of London street views for sale as postcards. She later photographed the activities of the suffrage movement in London and is considered one of the earliest female press photographers.
