Simon Cooke issued this trade token, worth a farthing, for his busines in Turnmill Street, Middlesex.
Boyne & Williamson (1889) reference London number 3245; Obv inscription: SIMON.COOKE.IN.TVRN (around field, in Roman capitals) Device = A cock (in field); Rev inscription: MILL.STREETE.1651 (around field, in Roman capitals) Device = S.R.C. (triad of initials in Roman capitals, in field).
