Blower, trumpet
Souvenir paper 'blower' or trumpet commemorating the Coronation of King Edward VII and Queen Alexandra. Comprising a red/white & blue striped paper cone printed with portraits of the new King & Queen attached to a wooden mouthpiece. Such blowers were sold to spectators lining the Coronation processional route but they were also available for purchase at least one month before the Coronation. The Coronation had been scheduled for June 26th but eventually took place in August due to the King being taken ill with appendicitis.
