Women's Social and Political Union Band
The Women's Social and Political Union Drum and Fife Band, 1909. The 20 member band was formed in May 1909 and made their first appearance a the Women's Exhibition held at Prince's Skating Rink. Here the band dressed in their purple, white and green uniforms are preparing to march through London's streets to promote and raise public awareness of this fund-raising exhibition.
