Suffragettes in the witness box at Bow Street Magistrates Court
The reverse of the photograph identifies the Suffragettes as Rosamund Massy and Henrietta Löwy, née Solomon (1864 - 1953.) Henrietta is wearing the fur hat (right of image) and Rosamund Massy the veiled hat to the left.
Their appearance at Bow Street Magistrates court, depicted in the image refers to their arrest for having taken part in the stone-throwing retaliation for the indignities of Black Friday. Both women were sentenced to a month in Holloway prison for their action.
