Boyne & Williamson (1889) reference London number 884; Obv inscription: GEORGE.THOROWGOOD.IN (around field, in Roman capitals) Device = Three horses saddled and bridled (in field); Rev inscription: DRVRY.LANE.HIS.HALF.PENY (around field, in Roman capitals) Device = G.F.T / 1666 (triad of initials in Roman capitals with date below, in field).
Drury Lane, is in the London borough of Camden, and the City of Westminster; it previously lay within Middlesex.
