Mrs Tuke, Joint Hon Secretary

Mabel Tuke (1871-1962) was joint Honorary Secretary of the Women's Social and Political Union. She joined the organisation in 1906. In March 1912 she and Emmeline Pankhurst threw a stone through the window of 10 Downing Street. They were arrested, and Tuke was sentenced to three weeks in Holloway Gaol.
