Postcard with photographic portrait signed 'Amy Sanderson'. Above is printed 'Mrs. Amy Sanderson. Women's Freedom League' and the organisation's address. Below is printed 'Votes For Women'.
Sanderson joined the Women's Social and Political Union in 1906. In 1907 she broke away with other members to form the Women's Freedom League and joined its executive committee. Sanderson was a speaker at hundreds of public meetings and was imprisoned for taking part in a deputation to the house of the Prime Minister Asquith.
