The New Mrs Partington
This pro-female suffrage propaganda postcard was designed and published by the artist and enamellist Ernestine Mills. The image depicts Mrs Partington of the Anti-Suffrage Society and her attempt to keep out the tide of women's suffrage. She admits that the tide of 'professional women, taxpayers, Liberal, Socialist and Conservative women...keeps rising'.
