Public Meeting at Hornsey. May 1, 1907. Women's Social and Political Union.
Printed handbill advertising a public meeting, organised by the 'Northern Heights' branch of the Women's Social and Political Union. Held at the National Hall, Hornsey on 1 May 1907 the meeting included speeches by Charlotte Despard, Winton Evans, Herbert L. Jacobs and the Suffragette leader Fred Pethick-Lawrence. The meeting has handwritten annotations relating to the nearest public transport to the Hall, probably added by one of the attendees. This branch of the WSPU was based in north London in the Hornsey, Crouch End area.
