The Laws of the Noble Game of Cricket
Broadside printed with 'The Laws of the noble game of cricket as revised by the Club at St Mary-le-Bone'. Published by John Wallis in May 1809 the laws sheet is printed with a hand coloured lithograph engraving depicting a cricket match that took place near White Conduit House in 1787. The cricketing code of laws, established by the Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC) in 1788 are printed below the engraving in three columns.
White Conduit Fields in Islington was the original home of cricket.
