Printed Ephemera — 1914
Cries of the Tortured
This emotive propaganda leaflet, issued by the Women's Social and Political Union, shockingly describes the force feeding of hunger-striking suffragette prisoners. It was intended to shame the government and raise public awareness of the daily torture faced by those fed by force.
