Mrs. Pankhurst's treatment in prison
Women's Social and Political Union Leaflet No. 94. 'Miss Pankhurst's Treatment in Prison', by Dr. Ethel Smyth. Here Smyth gives an account of the alleged ill-treatment suffered by Emmeline Pankhurst in Holloway Prison in March, 1912. There follows a response by the Home Office, and a further reply to this from Dr. Smyth. All three letters were originally printed in The Times newspaper.
