Horse trapping, phalera
Sheet bronze horse trapping or phalera made from a thin disc. The flat, rolled over rim is distinguished from the convex raised centre by a raised ring. The rim is reinforced by a cast loop. Hole (damage) in centre. Place of collection unknown, probably from the Thames. Part of the Layton collection.
