Coin, radiate
A copper alloy radiate coin of Emperor Probus, ruler of the Roman Empire, AD 276-282. The back of the coin depicts the emperor on horseback. This coin was minted in Siscia (modern day Sisak, Croatia), AD 276-282.
Obv: Radiate bust of Probus, facing left, wearing the imperial mantle and holding a sceptre surmounted by an eagle. Obv inscription: IMP C M AVR PROBVS AVG. Rev: Probus, on horseback, advancing left over a fallen enemy. Rev inscription: VIRTVS PROBI AVG, XXIVI in exergue.
