Coin, denarius
A silver denarius coin of Emperor Antoninus Pius, ruler of the Roman Empire, AD 138-161. The back of the coin depicts Concordia, the Roman goddess of understanding and marital harmony. This coin was minted in Rome, Italy, AD 145-147.
Obv: Laureate head of Antoninus Pius, facing right. Obv inscription: ANTONINVS AVG PIVS PP. Rev: Concordia, standing left, holding a patera (dish) in her extended right hand and a vertical sceptre in the left. Rev inscription: COS IIII.
