Coin, denarius
A silver denarius coin of Emperor Antoninus Pius, ruler of the Roman Empire, AD 138-161. The back of the coin depicts Concordia, the Roman goddess of understanding and marital harmony. This coin was minted in Rome, Italy, AD 138.
Obv: Laureate head of Antoninus Pius, facing right. Obv inscription: IMP T AEL CAES ANTONINVS. Rev: Concordia, standing left, holding a patera (dish) in her right hand and a double cornucopia in the left, resting her left arm on a column. Rev inscription: TRIB POT COS.
