Macehead
Stone elongated 'cushion' macehead of black silicified volcanic ash, banded black and white. Polished all over, with oval section, round ends and a tubular perforation. It is of similar form to two other stone maceheads in the collection (accession numbers 49.107/159 and A14578). Found in the Thames, possibly near Old England (not certain).
