Coin, aureus
A gold aureus coin of Emperor Nero, ruler of the Roman Empire, AD 54-68. The back of the coin depicts Salus, the female personification of health. This coin was minted in Rome, Italy, AD 63-68.
Obv: Laureate head of Nero, facing right. Obv inscription: NERO CAESAR AVGVSTVS. Rev: Salus, seated left, holding a patera (dish) in her extended right hand. Rev inscription: SALVS in exergue.
