Addressograph machine
This 'Graphotype' Addressograph machine punched addresses or other information onto aluminium strips. These became 'masters' for printing addresses onto envelopes and other repetitive office tasks. Automation made clerical work faster and more efficient.
This machine was originally operated by hand, but in the course of its history was retrofitted with an electric motor. In its working life this machine was used at the Paddington Chamber of Commerce.
