Walking stick
The top of this walking stick is made of porcelain and shows the upper half of a gentleman himself holding a cane in his hand. Judging from the wig and coat of the gentleman, the image seems to date from the 1760s.
Canes were a fashionable accessory for gentlemen. They were usually ornamented with cane ribbons strung through a whole in the cane top or just below. The cane ribbon of this stick is a reproduction.
