Pistol, flintlock pistol
This flintlock pistol was manufactured by Samuel Henry Staudenmeyer, a former apprentice of the famous London gunmaker John Manton. Staudenmeyer worked in the fashionable West End and specialised in duelling pistols for an exclusive aristocratic clientele. He counted both the Prince of Wales and the Duke of York as customers.
