Printed Ephemera — 1926-1939
Heinz Salad Recipes
This twenty page illustrated recipe booklet was issued by the food manufacturer Heinz to promote its salad cream. On the reverse is printed a drawing of the Heinz factory located within the Park Royal Industrial estate in North West London. The American firm of Heinz opened a London office in 1896 and started food production from its modern purpose built factory at Park Royal industrial estate beside the Grand Union Canal in 1925. The factory supplied London households with a range of convenience and canned foods until it closed in 2000.
